Alice Imogene Barringer Miss Alice Imogene "Jean" Barringer, 92, formerly of Jackson St. Mt. Pleasant died Wednesday at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis, NC. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Friday at Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, conducted by Rev. James White, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00pm Thursday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant and at other times at the residence of Scott Barringer, 1409 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant. Miss Barringer was born December 5, 1915 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late William A. Barringer and Grace Thomason Barringer. She was retired owner operator of Jean's Beauty Shop in Mt. Pleasant and a member Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity. She is survived by sisters, Claudia Glover of Transitional Health Care, Kannapolis and Jane Straughn of Wilmington and a number of nieces and nephews. The Barringer family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Transitional Health Care for Miss Barringer's care during her declining health.
