Hugh L. Kluttz Hugh Leon Kluttz Mr. Kluttz, age 85 of Concord, died on Sunday, February 14, 2010. He was born on May 27, 1924 in the Watts Cross Roads community of Cabarrus County; Hugh was the son of Ervin S Kluttz and Myrtie Allman Kluttz. He was retired from Yorke & Wadsworth Hardware in Concord. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Concord NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Edna Marlin, Louise Neal, and Dolly Russell. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Sikes Kluttz, son Hugh L. Kluttz Jr, and wife Susan of Matthews, NC, daughter Ann E Kluttz and husband Michael Parker of Concord, son Alan L Kluttz of Virginia Beach VA, and Terri T Kluttz of Wilson NC. Grandchildren are Anna Kluttz, Lee Kluttz, Amy K Daniel and husband Joe, and Davis A. Kluttz. Great-grandchildren are Madison and Noah Daniel. Services will be Sunday, February 21, 2010 at St John's Lutheran Church, 100 St John's Church Rd, Concord NC at 4:30 pm. Hugh's favorite color was red, the family ask that attendees ware something red, in Hugh's memory. A reception will be held after the service in the Goins fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to Saint John's Lutheran Church, Heifer Project or Children's Fund, 100 St. John's Church Rd., Concord, NC 28025 Gordon Funeral Home of Mt Pleasant is assisting the family.
