Barbara McClester

Mrs. Barbara Krimminger McClester, 75 of Hwy. 49, Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The McClester family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. McClester was born May 27, 1936 in Cabarrus County daughter of the late T. Woodrow Krimminger and Julia Barringer Krimminger. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She worked many years at the Concord Tribune. She enjoyed going on trips with the St. John's Grange group, crochet and needle work. She was preceded in death by her husband John Henry McClester and son Darrell McClester. She is survived by a daughter, Patti Moore and husband Hue of Mt. Pleasant, brothers, Tommy Krimminger of Little River, SC and Gerald Krimminger of Concord, grandchildren, Jason Garrett Almond and Kimberly Erin Almond great grandchildren, Ethan Garrett and Caleb Joseph Almond.
