Faye Morgan Smith

Faye Morgan Smith 102 years old went to her heavenly home on January 11, 2016. She was surrounded by family at St. Andrews Assisted Living in Concord, NC Mrs. Smith was born November 30, 1913 to the late James Farrington and Minnie Green Morgan of Stanfield, NC She is survived by her daughter, Jane Smith Cline of Concord NC. Granddaughter Libby Smith Wall and husband Martin of Mount Pleasant, grandson Ricky Cline and wife Mary of Fort Mill SC, grandson Mike Cline and wife Rhonda of Mount Pleasant, granddaughter Shanna Cline Martin and husband Brad of Concord, NC. She is survived by 9 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her late husband Marvin Smith, a son Jimmy Smith and wife Colette and son-in-law Bob Cline. Mrs. Smith was a member of Glorieta Baptist Church for over 50 years. Her daughter Jane and grandchildren will always remember her as the link that held the family together. Mom/Grandma was a blessed woman of God. She will be remembered for the stories that she would tell us of how her life was as she was growing up. We are truly honored and consider that our lives are so rich by being able to call her Mom/Grandma. Our hearts are broken, but with the same breath so grateful that she is now living the best life ever. Family will be receiving Thursday 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant, NC, funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Glorieta Baptist Church, Concord, NC Rev. Bill Nix and Rev. Nathan Brooks will officiate. Burial will be at First Baptist Church in Locust NC In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Glorieta Baptist Church, 4912 NC -73, Concord NC 28025 or Community Hospice, 156 Corporate Blvd. Indian Trail, NC 28105 The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff members at St. Andrews Assisted Living in Concord, NC for the love and care that they have shown to our Mother/Grandmother and to all of us.
