Glenn Medlin

Mr. Glenn D. "Bill" Medlin, Sr., 96 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Trinity Glen in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity officiated by Rev. Vincent Iocona, Jr.; burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45 Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Medlin was born April 26, 1918 in Hopewell, VA son of the late Will Clay Medlin and Hattie Lefler Medlin. He was a member of The Lutheran Church of The Holy Trinity. He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Dry Medlin He is survived by a son, Glenn D. Medlin, Jr. of, SC and a daughter, Gay McCormick of Winston Salem, brother Lewis Medlin of Roanoke, VA, and a sister, Marie Wilson of Greensboro, grandchildren, Dave Medlin, Wendi Miers, Patrick McCormick and Ryan McCormick, great grandchildren, Kacey and Sarah Medlin, Chandler, Riley, Quinten and Berkley Miers.
