Martha Earnhardt

Mrs. Martha Christopher Earnhardt, 90 of Concord, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Horizon Bay Assisted Living. Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday at Forest Hill United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. David Hockett. Burial will follow at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick, Tom, Steve, and Brent Earnhardt, Myron Goodman and Tim Canupp. The Earnhardt family will receive friends from 10-11am prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Earnhardt was born June 5, 1923 in Iredell County, daughter of the late Roy D. Christopher and Julia Rash Christopher. She was a member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church. She graduated from Troutman High School and worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company for 44 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Earnhardt, a step daughter, Carla Earnhardt Kinley, brothers, Lewis and Clyde Christopher and sister, June Starrette and Julia Wolfe. She survived by very special nieces and nephews, Sue C. Rowland and husband Richard, LeAnn Higdon, Gordon Starrette, great nieces and nephews, Connie Darnell and Lewis Christopher.
