Marsha, I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was such a special person, and I am so glad I had a chance to get to know her when she visited you in Orlando. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My childhood is filled with memories of the kirk family at the cleaners downtown. Many hours were filled playing in that hot store. Max and Marsha, I'm sorry for your loss. Your mom has left a real legacy of education in our town and will be missed by many. God's blessings on you both!

Mrs. Kirk was one of the most impactful teachers of my middle school years. She was the epitome of grace, intelligence, and humor. From her I not only learned how to conjugate verbs, but to be proud of my secret love of learning. Later in my life, she was one of my elderly parents' dearest friends--always there to run a errand or lend a helping hand. Martha Kirk was the last of a dying breed of committed educators and faithful friends.
