Paul Petrea

Paul Osborne Petrea, 82 of Saint John's Church Rd., Concord, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home, burial will follow at Boger Reformed Church. The Petrea family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00am prior to the funeral service. Mr. Petrea was born April 29, 1930 in Cabarrus County son of the late Victor L. Petrea and Lillian Miller Petrea. He was a member of Boger Reformed Church. He was retired from Jackson Training School and a US Army Veteran. He was a very active baseball and softball player. He loved all kinds of sports, baseball, football, racing and boxing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a very happy and humble person. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lois Sapp Petrea. He is survived by a son, Lesley E. Petrea, and a daughter, Mary P. Petrea and a grandchild, Johnathan Issac Parker.
