Raymond Vance Funderburk, Jr, 71 of Concord, passed away, Monday, October 26, 2015 at CMC-Northeast. Funeral service will be 12:00pm Thursday at Miami Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Robert Howard. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Funderburk family will receive friends from 11-12 prior to the service. Mr. Funderburk was born June 2, 1944 in Union County son of the late Raymond V. Funderburk, Sr. and Ruby Mullis Funderburk. He was a member of Miami Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam, and was a purple heart recipient. He was retired from the NCDOT as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering and playing practical jokes on others. He is survived by his wife Netta Pruitt Funderburk, sons, Ronnie Funderburk of Concord, Anthony Brian Funderburk of Atlanta, daughter, Michelle Funderburk of Gastonia, brothers, Larry Funderburk of Mt. Pleasant, Rick Funderburk of Rockwell and Jack Funderburk of Monroe, sister, Sandy Helms of Concord, grandchildren, Austin and Amber. Memorials may be directed to Miami Baptist Church, Building Fund, 6701 Miami Church Rd., Concord, NC 28124
