Alma Petrea Hill

Alma Petrea Hill, 87 of Mt. Pleasant passed away, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Stanly Manor, Albemarle. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Josh White; burial will follow in the church cemetery; the family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm at the church. Mrs. Hill was born May 17, 1929 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late James F. Petrea and Nonnie Almond Petrea. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant which she loved. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, keeping children and being outside. She also collected salt and pepper shakers and liked to listen to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her husband William G. Hill. She is survived by a son James W. Hill and wife Barbara of Monroe, Teresa Allmon and husband Tim of Mt. Pleasant, brother Roy Petrea of Kannapolis, sister Catherine Privitt, grandchildren, Crystal Black (John), Dustin Allmon (Amber), James W. Hill, Jr. Kelly Damrell and Erin Martin, great-grandchildren, Cole, Isabella, Autumn, Beau, Chase and Taylor. In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to First Baptist Church, PO Box 147, Mt.
