Angela Gaye Gilmore

Angela Gaye Gilmore ,59, of Concord passed away Monday, March 19 at the Tucker Hospice House.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, from 5:30-7:00pm at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Angela was born February 22, 1959 in Cabarrus County to the late, Lattie Gilmore and Alma Curlee Gilmore Phillips. She was a member of the first graduating class from Long Exceptional School. After graduation she was involved in volunteering at Long School and received a Governor’s award for her work there. She also enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather Don Phillips and a brother Harmon Gilmore.

She is survived by a sister, Glenda Burris (Don); brothers William “Billy” Gilmore (Sandy) and Rodney Gilmore; and many nieces and nephews.
