Annie Pauline Honeycutt

Annie Pauline Eury Honeycutt, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by the Rev. Faye McRoie. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m., prior to the service.

Pauline was born in Concord, Aug. 1, 1931, to Alexander Eury and Dorothy Hudspeth Eury. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Eury and Eugene Eury, and her husband of 61 years, James Walter Honeycutt, who died in September 2010. A 1949 graduate of Hartsell High School, Pauline excelled there on the girls' varsity basketball team. She attended Kings College Business School and was an administrative assistant for Allstate Insurance in Charlotte. Pauline relished her roles as wife, mother and grandmother. She and James enjoyed living on their 100-acre farm and traveling the country together, with Las Vegas being a favorite destination.

Those left to cherish Pauline's memory include daughters, Kenya Kay Honeycutt, and Marissa Ann Honeycutt Medlin, and her husband, Kim; a stepson, James Ronald Honeycutt; two sisters, Virginia E. Foil of Mt. Pleasant, and Evelyn E. Swaringen of Chicago; and five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
