B. Lynn DeBerry

B. Lynn DeBerry, of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, passed away on October 25, 2026, in Concord after a short period of declining health. He was born on November 16, 1954, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

At his request no services will be held. 

Lynn will be remembered as a man of steady dedication, deep loyalty, and lasting commitments. A graduate of Concord High School’s Class of 1973, he was a multiple-sport athlete during his years there. He devoted his working career to facilities management for Atrium Health, giving his time and effort faithfully through the years.

Outside of work, Lynn found great enjoyment in the things he loved most. He loved raising and training fox hounds, an interest that reflected both his patience and his care. He was also an avid fan of University of Alabama Athletics, following his teams with enthusiasm and pride.

Among the blessings of his life, one of his proudest accomplishments was the 47-year marriage he shared with his beloved wife, Susan. Their years together stand as a testament to devotion, partnership, and enduring love.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Susan Burris DeBerry; his son, John DeBerry; his sister, Nita Sechler and husband Danny; and his brother-in-law, Dean Burris; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bob and Louise Jacobs Kee.

He will be remembered with love by those who knew him and by all whose lives were made better through his presence. May his memory bring comfort and peace to his family and friends.
