Barbara Joyce Bumpious

Barbara Joyce Viar Bumpious, 86, of Charlotte, passed away, Monday, March 18 at her daughter’s residence in Richfield, NC.

Graveside service will be, 11:30am, Wednesday, March 20, at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 5201 Sharon Road, Charlotte, NC

Barbara was born September 11, 1937 in Dyersburg, TN, daughter of the late Burl Viar and Ardell Seratt Viar. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Viar.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years John Randall Bumpious; daughter, Kim Provancher (Lee); son Keith Bumpious and fiancé Angie Bittle; grandchildren, Kory Abernethy (Melissa), Kara Deas (Adam), Kane Bumpious (Anna); great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kayden Abernethy, Avery Deas. Siblings, Luna Gaskins, Buddy Viar, Faye Porter, Brenda Thurman and Donnie Viar. 

Barbara loved her family with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed by everyone that loved her.
