Barbara Keasler Moose

Barbara Keasler Moose, 86 of Mount Pleasant passed away on March 7, 2017 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her service will be at Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church on Saturday March 11 at 4pm. The family will greet friends following the service. Barbara was born on December 1, 1930 to late Laura Thomason Keasler and Raymond Keasler in Concord, NC. She grew up with her 4 brothers Rudy, Ken, David (Bud) and Richard. With all those brothers she was a fun and adventurous playmate and was a best friend to her beloved Mother , who passed along her great cooking skills . Barbara married A. Melvin Moose , and lived the life she loved in the country with him and their 2 sons, Gerald and Raymond. All who knew Barbara enjoyed her sincere welcome and kind heart. She was active in her church for many years and famous at church, and at work at Cabarrus Hospital and with family and friends for her huge batches of Christmas Peanut Brittle. Barbara is survived by her sons Raymond Moose (Bobbie Rae) and Gerald Moose (Rita). Her grandchildren Farrell, Tom, Walter, MargaretAnne, Seamus, Justin Rhea, Jonah and her great granddaughters Helen and June will always remember that they had the best grandmother ever.
