Betty Allmon

Betty Pauline Ford Allmon, 81 of Eastover Dr., Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Tucker Hospice House. Funeral service will be 2:30pm Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Roger Bostic, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The Allmon family will receive friends from 1-2:30 prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Allmon was born October 10, 1930 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Marcus Ford and Mattie Craven Ford. She was retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills. She loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl V. (Buck) Allmon and a grandson Sheldon Mattox. She is survived by her daughters Carla Mattox and husband Herbert (Butch) of Mt Pleasant, Vanessa Privette and husband David of Concord; brother Jack Ford of Florida, grandchildren Haley Mattox, Leslie Robinson Trent and husband Kenneth of Concord and Cassie Robinson of Kannapolis; great grandchildren, Chandler (Hard Rock) and Ariel Trent, Mason and Madden Erwin, many special friends and step grandchildren Samantha and Charlie Privette. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their care during Mrs. Allmon's declining health.
