Betty Smith Clark Honeycutt, 81, passed away April 3, 2018.

Memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, April 7, at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, 1260 College St., Mt. Pleasant NC 28124. Born in Mt Pleasant NC, August 18, 1936. She was the third child of five children to the late Paul Smith and Goldie Herrin. She spent much of her adult life in Greenville, SC and Mt Pleasant SC. After raising her children, she began working as a bookkeeper for several law firms in Greenville, then moved to Charlotte, where she met her future husband, Jack Honeycutt.  There they began their antique business and then moved to Mt Pleasant SC, where they lived for 30 years.  Mother enjoyed birding, walks in the woods and finding her next antique deal, especially antique lace!   Her love of nature also involved rescuing wildlife and adding flowers to her beautiful yard. She is pre deceased by husband, Jack Honeycutt and her infant brother, Charles Aubrey Smith.  

She is survived by her son Steven Clark and his wife Cynthia Clark of Southern Pines NC and her daughter Carol Clark Hammond, of Greenville SC, sister Peggy Drye and her husband Johnny Drye, her sister Althea Wellman and her husband Perk Wellman, as well as her brother William Smith and his late wife Kay Smith, all of Mt Pleasant NC.
