Billie "Toby" Hartsell, Jr., born on July 17, 1949, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his craft, a deep faith, and a commitment to family and community.

Billie, known fondly as Toby, enjoyed a long and rewarding career at the Fox Company. There, he specialized in machinery and parts for the apparel and sewn-products industry, building a reputation for expertise and reliability that was respected by colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional life, Toby was a man of varied interests and passions. He found great joy in reading and studying the Bible and his love for music and singing at church, nurtured his spiritual life that was central to his being. He was a devoted fan of the cherished television show "Andy Griffith," he also pursued karate with enthusiasm, becoming a Tae Kwon Do instructor, reflecting his discipline and commitment to physical as well as spiritual strength.

Billie "Toby" Hartsell, Jr. was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary Aldridge and Billy W. Hartsell Sr., his dear wife Wanda Roberson Hartsell, and grandchildren Jacob Hartsell and Mary Hartsell. Their memories remain a treasured part of his story.

He is survived by his son Brian (Diane) and daughter Wendy Pritchard (Spencer); his brother Bobby Hartsell; grandsons Joshua (Anna), Elijah (Kourtney), and Troy; nieces Melissa and Darla; great nieces and nephews Sage, Montana, and Draven; as well as numerous cousins. These loved ones carry forward his spirit and the values he lived by.

Visitation will be held on June 12, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gordon Funeral Home Of Mt. Pleasant, located at 8559 Cook Street, Mount Pleasant, NC 28124. A funeral service will follow on the same day beginning at 2:00 p.m., where family, friends, and all who knew Toby will gather to celebrate his life.
