Carl Alexander Bost a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at his residence. Born on April 11, 1958 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late Brice Edward Bost and Jane Hudson Bost, Carl lived a life with many interests and dedication to his family
The Bost family will receive friends on Friday October 17, 2025 from 2:00PM to 3:30PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, where Carl was a lifelong member. A funeral service will be held at 3:30PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the historic church cemetery.
Carl graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, class of 1976, and the Nashville Auto Diesel College. Carl continued with a career in the farm equipment industry and became renowned as a tractor mechanic throughout the southeast. Carl gave of his talents to his church as a member of the Property and Grounds committee and maintaining the church lawn equipment. He was a volunteer with the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Iron Peddlers Tractor Club. Carl enjoyed working on his family farm and considered it ‘his big playground”. Carl was an excellent father and grandfather who was active with his son’s scout troop, working with his daughter and her horses, and especially cherished being PawPaw to his granddaughter. He loved to travel and new experiences with all of his family.
Carl is survived by his children; daughter, Megan Smyre; son, Adam Bost (Whitney); sister, Carolyn Campbell; granddaughter, Darcy Smyre; niece; Beverly Campbell and nephew, Christopher Campbell.
As we remember Carl, we celebrate a life that was full of love for God’s creation and its creatures and a strong dedication to family and friends.
