Catherine Marie Manley

Catherine “Cathy” Marie Daniels Manley, 68, of Concord, passed away, Monday July 22, 2019 at Atrium Health-Northeast.

A service in memory of her life will be held 2pm Saturday August 3rd at CFA Suite 15, 280 Concord Parkway, Concord NC 28027. The Manley family will receive friends and family from 1-2 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Manley was born on June 14th 1951 in Erie County NY to the late Clarence Daniels and Mary Ireland Daniels. During her life she loved being a Homemaker, awesome mother and seamstress. She was a self-made entrepreneur and took her passion for sewing and made it a thriving business in the Charlotte and surrounding areas by making beautiful home decor of Drapes, window dressings, pillows and custom baby nurseries. When she was not sewing she enjoyed spending time with family, shopping with loved ones, collecting china dolls and Fenton baskets. She and dad Lived to go to antique stores to see what treasures they could find. Cathy had a passion and appreciation for vintage items long before it was popular to collect "Vintage items". Most of all Cathy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a major influence on all of their lives from making them feel special to providing a roof over their head. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children or grandchildren. Her life exemplified what a true selfless mother is.

She is survived by her husband James E. Manley; daughters Charlotte McDade (Bill) and Robin Gadd (David, Sr.); sons James I. Manley (Michelle) and Nathan Manley; a brother Mark Daniels; a sister Ruth Roake (John), grandchildren James McDade, Sarah McDade, Sean Lowery, David Gadd, Jr., James Manley, Caterina Manley and Gunner Manley.
