Claud Ritchie

Mr. Claud B. Ritchie, 87 of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Carebridge Assisted Living Center. Memorial service will be 2:00pm Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Concord Bible Church; the family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Ritchie was born July 31, 1923 in Cabarrus County, son of the late Jesse David Ritchie and Maggie Ketner Ritchie. He was a member of Concord Bible Church and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He loved being outdoors and gardening, most of all he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosa Bell Burris Ritchie and a still born child. He is survived by sons Lewis Ritchie and wife Peg of Greensboro, Ron Ritchie of Newport News, VA, daughters, Pat Fesperman and husband Jack of Albemarle, Brenda Gerolstein and husband Paul of Marietta, GA, brothers, Ned Ritchie, Archie Ritchie and Luther Ritchie, sister, Shelby McLester, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The Ritchie family would like to extend a special thanks to Cindy Drye for her care during Mr. Ritchie's declining health. Memorials may be directed to Concord Bible Church, 711 Williamsburg Ct.
