Clyde Morrison Drye, Sr.

Clyde Morrison Drye, Sr., 84, of Rockwell passed away November 22, 2022 at his home.

Celebration of life service will be held 3:00pm, Sunday November 27 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Rafe Allison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Drye family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45pm prior to the service.

Mr. Drye was born September 29, 1938 in Cabarrus County son of the late Walter Clyde Drye and Martha Kluttz Drye. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. He was the owner-operator of Rimer Motors. Mr. Drye enjoyed riding tractors and farming his property and watching his cows. Racing was also a lifelong passion.

He is survived by his wife Carol White Drye; sons Clyde Morrison Drye, Jr. “Rusty” and wife Rhonda, Chris Drye, and Walter Cayle Drye and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Katlyn Drye, Clyde Morrison Drye, III “Matt”, Brianna Drye, Delana Drye and Robert Clyde Drye; great granddaughter, Graceyn Thompson.
