Daniel Thomas Austin

Daniel "Danny" Thomas Austin, 66 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, March 18, at the WG Hefner Medical Center. Memorial service will be 2:00pm Sunday at First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant officiated by Rev. Tom Fleming. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Austin was born February 4, 1949 in Watauga County son of Murlee Austin Shore and late Max Thomas Austin. He was a US Navy Vietnam veteran. He was a truck driver, enjoyed NASCAR, and music, having played trumpet in the Navy band. In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters, Kristi White and Belinda Settle and a grandson Austin Settle.
