Donna Jernigan Thompson

Donna Lee Jernigan Thompson, of Concord, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Atrium Health – Cabarrus. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, the family will begin receiving friends at 1:30 prior to the service. Donna was born August 28, in the Philippines, daughter of the late Walter Jernigan and Virginia Jose Jernigan. She worked as the billing supervisor at Acuity Health Care. She enjoyed camping, the beach, and was always helping others. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Rick Thompson; sons, Allen Floresca, Paulo Floresca (Myla) and Buster Redden(Sami); daughters, Nikki McCormack (Matthew), Tina Duncan (Johnny), Myra Redden (Trey McAllister); brother, Walter Jernigan; sisters, Judith Johnson, Alma Doan, BJ Larson, Carol Walsh; grandchildren, Kane Duncan, Buzz McCormack, Lela Duncan, Josie McCormack, Hallie Redden, and Cora McAllister; Loving friend Christine and MiMi’s buddies Bailey and Savannah.
