Fannie Hancock Blackmon

Fannie Hancock Blackmon, 87 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, April 26 at her residence. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle, NC. The Blackmon family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Gordon Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackmon was born in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Samuel Hancock and Elizabeth Lemonds Hancock. She loved antiques and yard sales, and always had a good joke to tell. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Blackmon. She is survived by a daughter Dale Blackmon of Mt. Pleasant, sons, Gary Blackmon and wife Mary of Kannapolis and John Britt and wife Sue of Greenville, NC, sister Elizabeth Odell Cranford of Biscoe, grandchildren, Angie Blackmon, Gary Blackmon, Jr, Kristen Blackmon and Derrick Blackmon, John, Kelly and James Britt.
