Florence Hahn Busbin

Our precious mother, Florence Ann Hahn Busbin age 85 went to her heavenly home, Oct 9, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Saturday October 11 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt Pleasant, Hospice Chaplain Ric Durham officiating. Private family graveside will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. The Busbin family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to the service.

Florence was born, October 25, 1939 and was raised in the Georgeville community to the late Cletus and Elsie Harwood Hahn. Brother Cletus “Sunshine” Hahn, Jr. preceded her in death. Florence went to AT Allen Elementary and Mt Pleasant High School.

Florence was a letter girl during high school. She loved the piano and played for her church as a young lady. Florence met and married the love of her life John Busbin , (who passed away in November 2024) in January 1957. They were married for 67 years. No doubt, he was right behind Jesus waiting for his sweetheart. Florence taught Sunday school and sang in the choir at Parkwood Baptist where she was a member. Florence loved to cook, can and sew. She loved her flower gardens and spent her later years in the yard just observing. She saw the lord’s beauty in everything she picked up. Florence was an avid reader and books were her first love growing up.

Florence became a Christian and spent many years pouring through Gods word and sharing her love of Jesus.

Florence worked various jobs but in 1973 went to work for the Cabarrus ASCS office in Concord. She remained there until her retirement.

Surviving are her 3 children, Teresa Jones, Johnny Busbin, and Susan Smith(Shawn). 6 Grandchildren -Matt(Andria) Jones, Tyler(Jackie)Jones, Natalie (Jantzen) Cranford, April (Baker) Goodman, Ashley (Joel) Hanel and Kayla Busbin. Five great grandchildren- Jubilee, Mira, Corbin, Wyatt and Charlie.

Many thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care for their tender care of Florence since August.

Additional thanks to caregivers Sandra Coleman and Cindy Pressley who loved and cared for Florence like family.
