Geneva Litaker Earnhardt

Geneva Litaker Earnhardt, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Morningside Assisted Living. A celebration of life service will be 11:00am Thursday, April 13 at Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, officiated by Rev. Fred Guy. The Earnhardt family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Geneva was born April 30, 1931 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late George Fetzer Litaker and Eldora Barnhardt Litaker. She was retired V.P. of sales for Tuscarora Yarns. Geneva was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity. She enjoyed being outdoors at the lake and the beach, and gardening. She also loved reading and writing. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin L. (Dink)Earnhardt, Sr. and a brother Bill Litaker. She is survived by a son, Edwin L. (Eddie) Earnhardt, Jr. of Oak Island; daughters, Susan Mills and husband Mike, Janice Moose and husband Eddie, Rita Gilmore and husband Brian all of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Arce Carroll of Concord; grandchildren, Alison Hylton (Ray), Travis Moose, Michael Mills, Jon Mills (Katie), Mary Carson, Logan and Tanner Gilmore and five great grandchildren. The Earnhardt family wishes to express a special and heartfelt thank you to the staff of Morningside and Community Hospice for the loving care given to Geneva.
