Hans’s journey began in Ludwigshafen, Germany, where he was born to Emil and Paula Woerner, both of whom predeceased him. From his early years, Hans embodied values of dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose that guided him throughout his life. He and his wife Lilli emigrated to the United States in 1963.

Over the years, Hans built a legacy defined by his commitment to the Lord Jesus first, and then to his family with steadfast character, and his unwavering pursuit of excellence. He was very involved at Multiply Church, where he served as usher and led Sunday school classes. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lilli Koenig Woerner, whose companionship and support marked many years of happiness and partnership. Hans’s devotion as a father is cherished by his son, Michael Woerner (Nancy), and his daughter, Damaris Lanham; grandchildren: Sean-Michael Woerner (Victoria), Lillianna Woerner, Adriana Lanham, and Ali Lanham. Each of them continues to carry forward his values and the enduring influence of his guidance and affection.

Hans’s life was one characterized by hard work, steadfast commitment and meaningful relationships. He worked for many years as a research chemist (mostly for Drinkard Research in Charlotte), having developed several chemical process patents. He enjoyed photography, reading and continuing his studies as a chemist. His impact will remain with his family and all who were fortunate to share in his journey. He is remembered not only as a loving husband, father, and grandfather but also as a man who navigated life with dignity and a quiet strength.

Hans Juergen Woerner leaves behind a legacy of commitment to the Lord, underscored by love, achievement, and dedication. His memory will be treasured, and his presence deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
