Harold Ritchie

Harold George Ritchie, 79 of First Assembly Living Center formerly of Mt. Pleasant Rd. N. Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House Graveside service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Boger Reformed Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Dr. Donald McManus. Family will receive friends following the graveside service. Mr. Ritchie was born July 8, 1933 in Cabarrus County, son of the late Lewis Steffie and Mary Ella Safrit Ritchie. He served in the US Army and worked a Cannon Mills. He was a member of Boger Reformed Church and attended Mt. Pleasant Schools He was preceded in death by Daisy Ritchie Foil, Ralph W. Ritchie, Fred Ritchie, Vester Ritchie, Ray Ritchie; sisters Vera Ritchie McCall, Ruth Ritchie Cook, and infant sisters Vivian and Gladys Ritchie. He is survived by a sister Shirley Ritchie Waisner, and husband Gary, of Ramsuer; brother Lynn Ritchie, and wife, Kate of Concord sister in law Dink Ritchie of Statesville and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff that cared for him, First Assembly Living Center, CMC-Northeast and Hospice.
