Helen Tally Joyner

Helen Tally Joyner, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Mt. Pleasant House.

Memorial service will be 1:00pm Monday, Sept. 18, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Earl Bradshaw; burial will follow at Cold Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.

She was born July 6, 1935 daughter of the late Clyde S. Talley and Breecie Walter Talley. Helen loved sewing, gardening and spending time with her friends at Hardees and she loved dancing. Most of all she loved spending time with her immediate family as well as her Mount Pleasant House family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Joyner; brother, Herman Talley and sister Ann Allman.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sellers and Patti Shoe (Richard); four grandchildren, Trent Sellers (Carrie), Derek Shoe (Jessica), Jana Shoe John (Drew) and Lauren Shoe; five great grandchildren, Isaac Shoe, Eli Shoe, Grayson John, Lucas John and Carleigh Brewer; brother Don Talley.
