Holly Ray Petrea

Holly Ray Petrea, 92, originally of 1025 Lentz Harness Shop Road, Mount Pleasant, North Carolina passed on Nov. 17, 2023 at his home in Gastonia.  

Graveside service will be held at 1pm Tuesday November 21 at Bethel Bear Creek Church Cemetery with Rev. John Harper presiding.

Mr. Petrea was born on December 22, 1930 to the late Lee William Petrea and Mary Lula Shoe Petrea. For the past ten years Mr. Petrea has lived in Gastonia, North Carolina. Mr. Petrea is a member of Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church. He attended Ragan Weslyan Church while he lived in Gastonia. In addition to his parents Mr. Petrea was predeceased by a brother Richard W Petrea, Sr., sister-in-law and previous caregiver Kay Cozart Petrea, and nephew William Petrea. He was also predeceased by cousins Ray Hurlocker, Fred Poplin, and Wayne Poplin.

Holly is survived by cousins Robert Hurlocker, Ronnie Shoe, Phyllis Harris, Robert Shoe, and Larry Shoe.
