James Ensley

James Barry Ensley, 48 of Mt. Pleasant Rd., W., Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson and Rev. Joey Spry, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Ensley family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. He was born June 6, 1963 in Cabarrus County son of Leon Ensley and Ann Hopkins Ensley. He was a Mt. Pleasant High School graduate class of 1981. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He worked in the security department at Corning, INC. He was an avid golfer, and an outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and also his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, Ruth and Lewis Ensley and Frank and Christine Hopkins. In addition to his parents Ann and Leon Ensley, James is survived by his wife Donna Marie Carroll Ensley, children Ethan James Ensley and Marie Christine Ensley and her fiancé Steven Phillips, sister, Beth Downs and husband Mike, grandchildren Talyn James Phillips and Braylyn Marie Phillips and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
