Mrs. Jane Moose Eudy Bost, 96, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Born on November 2, 1929, Jane lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, steadfast love for her family, and a servant's heart that touched countless lives.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Bost, Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful life built on love, hard work, and devotion to family.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Janelle Correll (the late Andre Correll), Marvin Bost (Debbie), and Zeb Bost.
She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Andrea Rillorta (Rhoda), Andy Correll (Hannah), Natalie Bost, Zach Bost (Alex), Taylor Bost, Emma Bost, Elizabeth Bost, and David Bost. Her greatest joy continued through her great-grandchildren: Bryce Correll (Kinley), Owen Correll, Anniston Davis, Grace Ryan Bost Rillorta, and Lane Boles, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life.
Jane's life was a beautiful reflection of her Christian faith. She was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, led the Children's Opening, and was an active member of the Ann Petrea Circle. Later, as a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, she continued her service through the Church Birthday Club and the Shepherdess Circle. Her faith was not simply something she professed—it was evident in the kindness she extended, the encouragement she offered, and the love she freely gave to everyone she met.
After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School and Charlotte Commercial College, Jane began her professional career as a secretary for Dr. A. L. Barringer. In 1969, she and Marvin fulfilled a dream together by opening What-A-Burger #13 in Mt. Pleasant. Through decades of hard work, dedication, and community support, the restaurant has remained a beloved local landmark and continues to serve customers today—a lasting testament to their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to their hometown.
Jane embraced life's simple pleasures with enthusiasm. She was an enthusiastic Clemson Tigers fan and proudly cheered for the Carolina Panthers. She cherished family vacations to Disney World, relaxing beach trips, Sunday lunches surrounded by loved ones, and hosting treasured Christmas celebrations that became lifelong family traditions. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, delicious food, and unconditional love.
Above all else, Jane loved people. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her smile was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her gentle spirit brought comfort and joy wherever she went. She constantly reminded those around her to "love one another" and "be positive," and she lived those words every day. Her greatest accomplishment was not measured by what she owned or achieved, but by the countless lives she enriched through her compassion, generosity, and genuine care for others. She truly brought joy to everyone she met.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the devoted caregivers who lovingly cared for Jane over the years. In Mt. Pleasant, Misha and Dee provided faithful companionship and compassionate care. In Charleston, Barbara, Yolanda, Alisha, Que, Carole, Summer, and Skye became much more than caregivers—they became family, affectionately calling her "their Granny." Their love, kindness, and unwavering support brought great comfort to Jane and immense peace to her family.
Though her family grieves her passing, they rejoice knowing she is reunited with her beloved Marvin and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Jane leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and joy that will continue to inspire generations to come. Her life reminds us that the greatest gift we can give one another is love.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, July 10, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Concord, North Carolina. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials in Mrs. Bost memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
