Jane Ellen Love

Jane Ellen Love, 59 of Albemarle, passed away, Monday, May 20, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral service will be 3:00pm, Thursday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Reverend Martha Greene. The Love family will receive friends from 1-2:45pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Jane was born April 8, 1960 in Stanly County daughter of Bennie Baucom Hunsucker and the late Gene Love. Jane was such a special person and influenced the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.  She was funny, kind, and quite a spitfire!  She was protective to those she loved and a mother hen to those she lived with.  Everyone at Moss Springs 1 Group home will tell you that they lived at “Jane Love’s House”.  Often, we consider people with disabilities as having difficulty communicating with us or as having special needs.  Janie was unique in that she did not let her challenges or being non-verbal stop her from telling you what she needed.  Jane was always full of life and such a sweet soul. She will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her mother Bennie Hunsucker, she is survived by sisters, Patricia Cannon and Cathy Fitzgerald; brother, Michael Love; nieces and nephew, Katie Williams, Jenny Hoban, Mandy Murray and Bradly Cannon; several great nieces and nephews; her housemates, Skip, April, Renae, and Elaine.
