Joel Dale Hatley

Joel Dale Hatley, 68 of Locust, passed away, Saturday, March 16 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Hatley was born February 4, 1951 in Cabarrus County, son of Ruby Burris Hatley and the late Grover Hatley. He was a retired barber and HVAC technician for Cabarrus County. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with different things, fishing, raising and showing his Boxers.

In addition to his mother Ruby B. Hatley, he is survived by his wife Hilda Linker Hatley; daughter, April H. Kennedy; step daughter, Amanda C. Hartman; sister, Karen Simpson; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and two nephews.  

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
