Joshua Wayne Mayes

Joshua Wayne Mayes, 30, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 24, surrounded by family and friends until the very end,  at Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

Memorial service will be 1:00pm Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Revolution Church, 310 Brookdale St., Kannapolis, NC 28083, with Rev. Chris Daniel officiating. The Mayes family will begin receiving friends at 11:00am prior to the service.

Joshua was born May 20, 1989 in Cabarrus County, son of Terry Mayes and Amy Gilmore Mayes. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was a member of Revolution Church. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death paternal grandfather, Ancil Mayes; maternal grandparents, Harmon and Brenda Eagle Gilmore.

In addition to his parents Terry and Amy, he is survived by a sister Savanna Mayes and a half-sister Brittnay Mayes. Paternal grandmother, Flossie Mayes; special niece and nephew, Raelynn Anderson and Hayden Hudson; and his Pug, Maleya.
