Margaret Louise Walker

Margaret Louise Walker, 85, went to be with her heavenly Father on November 7, 2015. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Wednesday, Nov. 11, at St. John's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Walker family will receive friends from 2-3pm prior to the service at the church. During life she was employed by the Mount Pleasant Hosiery Mill and Jackson Training School. She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Irene Walker, siblings Mildred Walker Sherwood, Audrey Walker Ashby, and George Walker Sr. She is survived by her son David Walker and wife Cheryl, granddaughters, Michelle and Rebecca Walker, two sisters, Miriam Yost and husband Paul of Concord, Doris Lippard of Statesville, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either St. John’s Lutheran Church or the St. John’s Lutheran Church Sonshine Backpack Ministry which feeds hungry children in the local community.
