Martha Jane Womack

Martha Jane Womack, 79 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Charlotte, passed away, Monday, August, 13, at Atrium Health-Northeast.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, Aug. 17, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 1900 The Plaza, Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Emily Hartner. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am at the church.

Miss Womack was born January 21, 1939 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Albert E. Womack and Dinah Ennis Womack. She was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. In her retirement from bookkeeping, she enjoyed working cross word puzzles, reading and spending time with her cats. She was preceded in death by a sister Helen Chappell.

She is survived by a sister Barbara Piojda and husband Frank, niece Angela Piojda and nephew Joseph Piojda(Beth), great niece Ashlee.
