Mary Nell Gillespie

Mrs. Nell Johnson Gillespie, 96 of Concord, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Avante of Concord. Graveside service will be April 3rd, at 2:00pm, at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC. Mrs. Gillespie was born September 20, 1914 in Heath Springs, SC, daughter of the late Edward Banks Johnson and Mamie Cole Johnson. She was a retired sales clerk at Belk's Department Store of Charlotte. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill and attended First Baptist Church, Concord. She was preceded in death by her husband Avery H. Gillespie. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Callahan of Statesboro, Ga, sister, Betty J. Sturgis of Rock Hill, SC, grandchildren, Jason Callahan and Ellie Treffeisen and great grandson, Max Treffeisen.
