Mary Eudy Harwood

Mary Margaret Eudy Harwood, 77, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Atrium-Cabarrus.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 8, 2023 at 4pm at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 9400 Gold Hill Rd., Mt. Pleasant NC 28124, and will be officiated by Rev. Kevin Sloop. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Harwood family will receive visitors from 1-3pm on Sunday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.

Mary was born in Cabarrus County on December 29, 1945 to the late Ralph and Margaret Eudy. She was a long time member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, where she loved attending as often as possible. She took pride in her yard and gardens. She also enjoyed activities like splitting firewood, cooking, and baking, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her dogs, Jack and Jill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Betty Jane Hill.

She is survived by her son Jason Harwood (Jolena) and two daughters Tisha Harwood and Tanya Harwood (Lee Forrest); brothers Ralph and Fred Eudy; sisters Alice Shue and Evelyn Ferguson; grandchildren Zoe Kindley, Mara Jones (Zachary), Renlee Forrest, and Jorey and Mikayla Stanley.
