Nancy Diane Cook Mitchell of Mount Pleasant died Thursday, March 1, 2018 after a brief illness at CHS-Northeast. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 5 at 3:00 pm at The Lutheran Church of The Holy Trinity Cemetery, Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Patrick McCabe.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 – 3:00 prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Home.  At other times the family will be at the home of her parents. 

Nancy was born August 30, 1965 in Cabarrus County to Teddy and Irene Petrea Cook.  She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and during her life she was a member of Bethel (Bear Creek) Reformed Church.  Nancy worked as a waitress and hostess at Sandy’s and Troutman’s Barbecue in Concord.  In her leisure time, she very much enjoyed fishing local ponds and lakes.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is survived by her husband, Benny Mitchell of Mount Pleasant; sons, Paul Miller III, and Will Miller; brother, Terry Cook and wife Lisa. 

Memorials in Nancy’s honor may be made to Bethel (Bear Creek) Reformed Church Youth Fund, 18958 Bear Creek Church. Rd., Mount Pleasant NC 28124.
