Raymond W. “Buck” Fink, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his residence.
At his request, there will be no services.
Buck was born July 14, 1929, in Cabarrus County to John R. Fink and Rosa Belle Kluttz Fink. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Ray Fink, and a sister, Marie F. Erving.
A life-long member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Buck loved his church and was a faithful servant. A retired carpenter and all-around fix-it man, in his later years he especially enjoyed tinkering with and riding tractors and lawnmowers. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joann Wilkinson Fink; two daughters, Therieda Fink and Connie Fink; a sister, Mae F. Carriker; a sister-in-law, Carol Fink; two grandchildren, Andrew Allen and Melissa Seagraves and husband Tim; four great- grandchildren, Andrea, Ariel, Tyler and Troy; great-great-grandson, Galvin; and special friends, Mary Beth Jones and Joseph Harrington.
The Fink family extends special thanks to the caregivers of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their exceptionally compassionate care of Buck during his declining health.
