Richard Irwin

Richard Irwin, 82, of Concord passed away December 31, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 12noon Thursday January 4 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Billy Cleveinger. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Gardens. The Irwin family will receive friends from 11-12 prior to the service.

Richard was born November 24, 1941 in New York to the late Alfred and Mary Weiss Irwin. He worked for many years at IBM as a computer programmer. He loved animals and is survived by 4 cows and a horse.

He is also survived by, sons , Sean Richard Irwin and Thomas Irwin , and Terry Richard Irwin; daughters, Teresa Ann Robinson, Suzanne Orcutt McKenney, and Barbara Ann Lawlor; sister Rita Jo Muraltalla; brother Michael Irwin; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
