Ricky Dale Avant

Ricky Dale Avant, 62 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away February 20, 2023 at Atrium-Cabarrus.

Ricky was born December 6, 1960 in Columbus County, NC, son of the late Woodrow and Margaret Gore Avant. He was a RN and worked for many years at Grand Stand Hospital. After moving to Mt. Pleasant, he worked a bus driver for the Cabarrus County School System in the Mt. Pleasant School district. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Trish Eaton.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary McClintock, Doris Beasley, Jean McMillan, Betty Johnson, and Bobbie Willard and special friend, Bill Guttridge. As well as his two dogs Baxter, Jojan; cat Tucky and his special duck (Dunkin).
