Robert Sterling Whisnant

Robert Sterling Whisnant of Concord died Saturday February 27th at his home. Mr. Whisnant was born June, 10 1957 in Forsyth County to Ruth Mills Whisnant Richards and the late Robert Royce Whisnant. Mr. Whisnant was an employee of University of North Carolina at Charlotte as an electrician for many years. Also during his life he enjoyed coaching and being a part of Cabarrus County Recreation and Youth sports teams. He is survived by his mother Ruth Mills Richards(Bob) of the home, a son Robert "Nic" Whisnant (Amy) of Locust, a brother Scott Whisnant (Debra) of Lexington and a Sister Beverly Smith (Scott) of Lexington and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 2nd at 11am in Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Bill Nix. Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is serving the Whisnant family.
