Ronnie Lynn Boger, 66, of Rockwell, passed from this world into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, January 16, at Duke University Medical Center surrounded by family and an abundance of love, after a courageous battle with liver disease.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday at Boger Reformed Church, 7313 Gold Hill Rd., Concord, officiated by Rev. Dr. John Brantley and Darrell Kluttz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Boger family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Ronnie was born April 11, 1956 in Cabarrus County son of the late Otis A. Boger, Sr. and Pauline Myers Boger. He was a lifelong member of Boger Reformed Church where he was an active member. He was a 1974 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He served as a member of the Rimer Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was active with the FFA at Mt. Pleasant High School. He spent his life as a farmer and logger and enjoyed working outdoors. He was known for being a prankster, but also a loving husband, father, papaw and friend. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his best buddies, his grandchildren; Aubrey and Luke Love, Traton and Kylie Boger, Abigail and Shelby Morrow, Alisha Hamel(Dylan), Bryson, Hayden, Kade, Easton, Grace, Isaiah, Annabelle, Adelyn, Braylin, Emma and Paxton Leonard. They loved to fish, play cards, spend days on the lake, take beach trips and make the most of snow days.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rhonda Leann Boger. In addition to his grands, his memory lives on through his loving wife Dora Gardner Boger; son, Aaron Boger; daughter, Tracy Boger Love; brother, Otis Aubrey Boger, Jr. (Judy); sister Sue B. Archer (Richard); bonus sons Wes (Tammy), Derek (Sara), Bret (Lacy), Ryan (Rachel); nieces Kelly Bunce (Scott), Dana Smith, Heather Smith (Greg); and great-nieces and nephews.
