Mrs. Ruth "Sis" Lentz Hatley Rabon, 85 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Tucker Hospice House. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday at Gordon Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Derrick Ross; burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The Rabon family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Rabon was born April 19, 1929 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late John C. Lentz and Ethel Fink Lentz. She was a member of Concord First Assembly where she was active in the Senior Ministries. She also enjoyed spending time at the Mt. Pleasant Senior Center and Mt. Pleasant Country Club (Hardee's). She was preceded in death by her husband Max Hatley, daughter, Lisa Davis and a brother John Lentz, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Kathy Allen of Salisbury, Connie Carter of Charlotte and Martha Curry and husband Dale of Salisbury, sister, Lois Blalock of Norwood, , son-in-law, James "Straw" Davis, sister-in-law Francis Lentz, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren Memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083
