Sara Guyette Tatum

Sara Nicole Guyette Tatum, 41, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday January 5, 2023 at Atrium Health-Mercy.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2pm Monday January 9 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Father Glenn of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 12-2 prior to the service.

Sara was born June 2, 1981 in Burlington VT to Paul and Connie Howe Guyette. Sara graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1999. She worked as a hair stylist for the next 15 years both locally and at the beach. While working in Southport she managed three salons and was named manager of the year in 2015. Also in 2015 Sara married Jimmy Tatum and moved back to this area from the beach.

Sara is predeceased by her husband Jimmy Tatum and her father Paul Guyette. She is survived by her mother Connie Guyette of Mt. Pleasant; brothers Matt Guyette and wife Chrystal of Stanfield and Scott Guyette and wife Katie of Albemarle; nephews Matthew and wife Hollie, Noah and Cody Guyette; nieces Emily, Kathryn and Kaelynn Guyette; great nephews TJ Pope and Andrew Guyette; great niece Evelynn Guyette; stepson Hunter Eudy; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in a large extended family.
