Tammy Marie Padlock

Tammy Marie Padlock (Strichek), 55, of Murrells Inlet, SC and Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, April 7th, 2016, surrounded by her family. Tammy was born and raised in Geneva on the Lake, Ohio, and had lived in Murrells Inlet, SC for 26 years before moving to Charlotte, NC to be closer to her son. Tammy enjoyed many things in life, but drew her greatest enjoyment from helping others - both through her work as well as through friendship, laughter, encouragement and love. She is survived by her husband, James Padlock - her best friend, her love and the greatest man she had ever met - as well as her son, Jared Strichek - her greatest gift. She also leaves behind her mother, June Pfister - who encouraged her with love and prayers her entire life - as well as many friends, co-workers, cousins and other family members who formed a wonderful support group for her throughout her battle with cancer. Per Tammy’s request, there will be no official calling hours or services. Instead, her wish is for her friends to plant themselves a tree, so that they may enjoy its beauty moving forward. In lieu of flowers, Tammy would prefer donations made to St. Jude, the American Cancer Society, or any other organization devoted to ridding the world of the terrors of cancer. Rather than a burial, Tammy’s wish is for her ashes to be spread in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean, where she can travel the world for eternity while being in no hurry.
