Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Deese, 55, of Mt. Pleasant, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday November 24, 2020. A memorial service will be held 4pm Sunday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde and the family. The Deese family will receive friends from noon until 4pm prior to the service. (Mask are required) Tommy was born in Cabarrus County, April 15, 1965. He was a 1984 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School where he was #11 on the varsity football team and lettered in both football and track. He worked for the City of Concord for 28 years where he started on the tree crew and worked his way up to be a Tech II for the sub stations. He enjoyed tinkering with and riding his dune buggy with his wife and his dog Dixie. He liked to fly model planes and drones, as well as fishing and boating. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and was excited for the upcoming birth of his first grandson. He is proceeded in death by his father Floyd Eugene Deese Jr; father in law Bobby Lee Combs; and grandmothers Pansy McEachern and Alice Deese. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Crystal Combs Deese; daughters Jordan(Jack), Carson(Phillip) and Peyton Deese(Daniel&Makayla); Granddaughter Kynzaleigh Rae Smith; mother in law Billie Combs; brother in law Kevin Combs and wife Renee; uncles Billy McEachern(Sandy) and Archie McEachern(Tina); nieces Kellynn and Ella Combs; mother Carolyn Burleyson(Lynn); and brother Matthew Burleyson (Lisa&Landon) and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to the family who will set up an account for his grandson, Weston Scott Allen.
